Cultural Programs
Musical
St Joseph’s School conducts a musical every two years. Previous musicals have include Back to the 80’s, Joseph and his Technicolour Dream Coat, Annie and The Whiz. In 2021, the school performed Matilda. Positions available to students include cast members, musicians, backstage crew, lighting and audio-visual, costume and make-up and front of house.
Apple and Grape Festival
The Apple and Grape Festival is a highlight for the school every two years. Our Apple and Grape float, created from scratch each year to whatever theme has been dictated, is a regular winner in the school’s section of the parade.
Border District Eisteddfod
Students from across the school also compete as individuals or groups in the Border District Eisteddfod each year (dance, recital, drama, music). This is an an opportunity for competitors to showcase not only their talents but to have a platform to compete, perform and receive feedback from professionals in their field.
Team Challenges
Students also have the opportunity to take part in team challenges as such:
- Mathematics Team Challenge
- Robocup
- Optiminds.
Art Club
The Art Club meets regularly on the Secondary Campus to develop their creative and artistic talents.
Chess Club
The Chess Club also meets on the Secondary Campus and Primary has a Chess Competition each year.
Maths Club
The Maths Club also meets regularly on both campuses and enter a number of competitions.
Science Club
The Science Club also meets each week in the Science Lab for both Primary and Secondary students.
STEM Club
Students also have the opportunity to get involved with the STEM Club which is a cross campus club focusing on coding, robotics and drones.
