ACTING ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL MISSION & IDENTITY

As we begin Term 4, we’re reminded that this final chapter of the school year is not only a time of academic focus but also one of spiritual preparation. With Advent just around the corner, our hearts turn toward the hope, peace, joy, and love that the Christmas season brings. It is a time to reflect on the light of Christ in our lives and how we can share with others in our community.
Next week, Vinnies launches their new initiative - St Joey’s Sound Check. This promises to be a great evening for our secondary students, showcasing musical talent and community spirit while supporting those in need. We encourage all students to come along, enjoy the performances, and be part of something meaningful.
This week, our younger students begin their Reconciliation lessons, marking the start of their sacramental journey. It is heartening to see our senior students stepping into roles of leadership and mentorship, guiding and encouraging their younger peers with compassion and faith. Their involvement is a witness to the strength of St Joseph’s mission and identity.
It was also encouraging to see a number of students participating in the Parish Prayer Walk over the weekend. Their presence and engagement reflected a sense of friendship and fellowship within our parish community.

As our Year 12 students conclude their formal lessons next week and prepare for their external examinations, we hold them in our prayers. This is a significant milestone in their journey, and we are proud of their dedication. A heartfelt thank you to our parishioners who have faithfully prayed for our seniors over the past months - your support has been a source of strength and encouragement.
Let us continue to walk together in faith, hope, and love as we journey toward the joy of Christmas.
With God's blessings,Mary Roberts
