PANCAKE DAY
Tuesday, 4th February was abuzz with excitement as students and teachers gathered to celebrate Pancake Day, also known as Shrove Tuesday, in a truly scrumptious fashion. This annual event, deeply rooted in Christian traditions, is always eagerly anticipated, and this year's celebration did not disappoint!
Shrove Tuesday marks the day before the beginning of Lent, a period of reflection and fasting leading up to Easter. Historically, it was a time to use up rich ingredients like eggs, milk, and sugar before the fasting period began. Pancakes, being a delicious way to use these ingredients, became a traditional dish for the day.
